About
At 28 years of age, Richard J. Bryan took the reins of a $120 million family-owned car and truck dealership business when his father was forced to retire due to illness. That alone was a challenge. Worse, the business was losing $3.5 million a year. In his 10 years as CEO, Richard’s leadership style matured from a controlling micromanager to more of a coach and mentor.
With the help of his own mentor Frank, Richard was able to articulate a crystal-clear vision, hire the right people, forge a dynamic team and ultimately help the business to survive and then thrive in a competitive industry. He eventually sold the car business and embarked upon a new career.
Today you can find Richard gracing stages as a keynote speaker, author and executive coach to business owners and senior leaders. His niche is in leadership succession planning, working with both family-owned and privately held businesses of all sizes in the US and Canada. He is also a member of the National Speakers Association.
Richard and his wife proudly own The Bryan Group Inc. in the US and BBH Properties, a real estate investment company based in the UK.
When he is not traveling you can find Richard in Evergreen Colorado, the place he now calls home.
